Just shy of 18, Olivia is at the end of one journey and at the beginning of the next. In the following weeks, she will be confirmed and graduated. Tonight she is at her senior prom. In the fall, as we head to Germany, she will remain here and start her college experience. She is perched, ready to fly from the nest and test her wings. Letting her soar, I hold my breath and let her go and grasp my rosary and pray.

It's seems a little backward to be the parent leaving behind the child. Aren't they supposed to leave us?! Praying for smooth transitions for all of you.
ReplyDeleteOh, I got goosebumps when I read "grasp my rosary and pray"! She's a beautiful, lovely young lady, like her mama. God bless her (and you)
ReplyDeleteGermany??!! Awesome! It's so hard to let them out of the nest. My next one is a junior this year and I'm already feeling the excitement and heartbreak.
ReplyDeletePrayers for you and your sweet girl.
